The 2023/2024 Plastic Pirates campaign in Spain has ended, with a new one about to begin in autumn this year. About 1.500 young people sampled more than 80 sections of different rivers in Catalonia, Castilla y León, and the Valencian community. The results show that plastic packaging and disposable sanitary towels are the most frequently detected waste items.
